The HeistGo team respects intellectual property rights and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 (“DMCA”).
Designated agent
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
Email is the fastest way to reach us. This address is only for copyright matters.
Filing a notice
Your notice must be in writing and include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the exact URL(s) on our site where the material appears, so we can find it;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable access to the material promptly and, where possible, inform the user who posted it.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our agent including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number;
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
We will forward your counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving your counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights.
False claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider seeking legal advice first.
Game content
HeistGo is an unofficial fan tool, not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Rights holders of game content can use the procedure above, and we will act promptly.
